If you want to improve diversity, forcing managers to attend training is not the answer, indicates a new study.

Not all things called 'Training' are equal, so I suspect this research result is suspect. Training which is designed and delivered badly (as most of it is, in my experience...) will certainly produce negative results.

But 'training' in Diversity and related values-based subject-matter (and even better, 'education' and 'capacity-building') which is well designed - that is, structured around Teaching and Learning principles and practices which are appropriate for adult learners and, crucially, respects their knowledge and experience, will have them coming back for more.
